As a Senior Athletic Physiotherapist, you’ll be responsible for producing unparalleled rehabilitation outcomes within our flagship athlete rehabilitation system, while leveraging your great relationship-building qualities to attract, convert and onboard new athletes into our rehabilitation programs at club sport and within the clinic. This is a senior front-line role that reports to the leader of Athletic Rehabilitation.
You will need to love making athletes feel special, supported, and encouraged, with the ability to connect and get buy-in from a wide range of personality types.
You will need to love winning, and have a great sense of pride knowing you're contributing to the success of your team by outperforming on your key KPIs
You will need to see team sports affiliations as an excellent opportunity to showcase your skillset as a practitioner and leverage those relationships to grow the athletic rehab program.
An innovative and creative thinker who can see the big picture and adapt to an ever-changing marketing 'meta'
The awareness to keep the brand's future reputation in focus.
Maintain a focus on results while juggling multiple concurrent marketing initiatives and responsibilities across a varied suite of products.
As a Senior Athletic Physiotherapist, you are more than just a Physio. Given that you will need to interact and build relationships with a broad range of athletes while ensuring athletes are effectively serviced at our facility to rehab their injuries, having the right mindset and approach is critical. The ideal candidate will thrive at:
Understanding the objective of your role and it's associated KPIs, staying focused on that objective, and achieving the objective. If you find yourself behind KPIs, you'll show initiative and proactiveness. Whenever you need help, you'll reach out to the rest of the team.
Being results-driven with a high level of personal accountability. If you find yourself falling behind, you won't look for excuses or blame, but take ownership for the situation and put an action plan together for how you'll overcome your chalelnges.
Being able to lead customers and peers mostly through influence, process and example. Because you're not a department head, traditional hierarchy won't be an advantage of yours; you'll need to win people over with great ideas and merit.
Because your role is heavily reliant on the amount of athletes under your care, building trust with all stakeholders is critical. You'll need to feel comfortable connecting with a wide range of personality types in a large team setting where you commonly don't know many people.
A willingness to adapt and a commitment to trial-and-error; understanding that the digital and creator landscape is rapidly evolving and changing. You will harness the philosophy
"what worked yesterday, might not work tomorrow."
There are always problems and challenges with marketing. You'll approach these problems with an open-mind, a willingness to gather feedback and insights, and a commitment to finding solutions.
You will find great joy in growing our brands reputation and reach, knowing that core to our vision is being useful to our industry.
You will find satisfaction when asking yourself the question: "How can we get more juice out of the squeeze, using what we have"
You thrive on tight deadlines, accountability and uphold the GSD attitude knowing that content runs on a 24-hour cycle and we've always got to be "on."
Session Utilisation (%)
Commercial viability every physiotherapy role requires a minimum session utilisation. Our target is 80% or above.
Athletes Under Care
Gone are the days of extensive lists of 50+ patients per week. Our target is 25-30 athletes under care.
Athletes on Track
At the heart of what we do, delivering exceptional rehab outcomes is paramount. We track the number of athletes that are in front of their rehab timelines, in line with them, or behind them. It's our imperative that we deliver at best, faster rehabs than expected, and as a minimum, keeping aligned with timelines.
We expect and estimate that your runway to KPI will be approximately twelve weeks. During this time, we'd expect you to be immersing yourself in our rehab and training systems, building strong relationships with our athletes and team stakeholders, and getting comfortable in our environment. During this period, you'll also get insane amounts of tailored professional development to make sure you have all the resources you need to succeed.
Generate referrals from team sport relationships to support the growth of the rehab program.
Develop and conduct initial athlete screening sessions and produce handover reports to the performance team.
Conduct follow-up consults for rehabilitation athletes with an emphasis on being adaptable so they get the right balance between what they want and need.
Maintain a clear, concise and up to date medical record for every athlete to allow for the effective evaluation of the athlete’s progress and the physiotherapist’s practice. These records should be both written and filmed and then stored within the secure Athletes Authority databases.
Generate engaging and compelling short- and long-form content on topics of interest.
Develop, deliver and progress rehab programs within the Athletes Authority programming framework.
Develop quantitative and qualitative exit criteria for all injuries requiring surgery
Liase with all medical stakeholders -- including surgeons, sports doc etc.
Focus heavily on the development of a leading, integrated sports physiotherapy program in the private sector.

You don't like the idea of having a KPI and smashing out of the park (and getting a bonus)

You're not easy to get along with.
You can't hustle.
You're not an Australian resident (and don't have a pathway to get a Visa)
